En esta nueva edición de esta fiesta del folklore participarán como invitados especiales el Ballet Folklórico de la Universidad de Guadalajara y el Ballet Folklórico del Gobierno del Estado de Tabasco.
En este año, el Mitote está dedicado a la memoria del maestro Hugo Roberto Corpus Sosa, quien lamentablemente falleció a principios de este año. Este distinguido promotor de la danza folklórica colaboró por muchos años con el Ballet Folklórico Magisterial Nuevo León y fue miembro del Comité de Organización del Mitote Folklórico.
Las sedes del Mitote son: La Gran Sala y el Escenario al Aire Libre del Teatro de la Ciudad, el Teatro Nova y Teatro CONVEX.
El XXIII Mitote Folklórico es organizado por el CONARTE con el apoyo del CONACULTA y 3 Museos y forma parte de las actividades de Nuevo León, Polo Cultural de México.
El XXIII Mitote Folklórico
El maestro Jaime Guerrero, miembro del Comité Organizador del Mitote Folklórico destacó la participación de los grupos invitados en esta nueva edición del Mitote.
“Estamos muy contentos de contar en esta ocasión con la participación Ballet Folklórico de la Universidad de Guadalajara y el Ballet Folklórico del Gobierno del Estado de Tabasco, dos agrupaciones muy importantes en su papel como promotoras y difusoras de la danza folklórica en México”.
“El Ballet de la Universidad de Guadalajara es una garantía de excelencia. Su director Carlos Ochoa es una persona muy dedicada y con mucha experiencia. El grupo ha representado a México en diversos festivales internacionales del folklore. Ellos nos presentarán un programa con bailes y danzas de Jalisco”, manifestó Guerrero.
“Y el Ballet Folklórico del Gobierno del Estado de Tabasco, es dirigido por Rosa del Carmen Dehesa, quien por su trabajo se convertido en ícono del folklore tabasqueño y nacional; es una persona que ha entregado su vida a la danza y la investigación”, explicó.
“Este grupo nos traerán la Danza de los Pájaros, La danza del Pochó, y el famoso Zapateado tabasqueño, entre otras danzas”, expresó.
Además dijo tenemos la participación de más de 40 grupos locales, con la inclusión de algunos grupos nuevos.

“Para nosotros el Mitote Folklórico es un escaparte muy importante para los grupos folklóricos de la localidad; para muchos de ellos es su gran evento del año, donde todos el mundo espera la oportunidad para estrenar coreografías o vestuarios”, manifestó el maestro Jaime Guerrero, Miembro del Comité Organizador del Mitote Folklórico.
“Es una inquietud que nos da vida durante el año pensando qué vamos a presentar en el siguiente Mitote, ya es típico que los grupos folklóricos preparan sus mejores galas para lucirlos ante la comunidad folklórica y el público en general”, expresó.
“Es una fiesta, un evento cultural y artístico, con una gran hermandad. Pero también es un evento familiar donde se respira mucha camaradería y unión; es el evento esperado del año, lleno de nerviosismo y mucha felicidad”, señaló.
